My Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based practice started in 1982. As a member of the Greater Milwaukee Plastic Surgeons, I have been privileged to witness the advent of several revolutionary techniques in the field of plastic surgery. I am referring to liposuction, multiplane and multivector face lifting, endoscopic plastic surgery, laser resurfacing, and microvascular tissue transfer. In addition, there have been significant refinements in existing procedures that include eyelid surgery, nose jobs, body contouring, and breast enhancement. I have also seen many procedures come and go and know that new does not always equate with better. It is my responsibility as a physician to obey the admonition "first do not harm;" and to advise my patients what is best for them. This involves listening and thinking and then applying my knowledge to their particular situation.
I also know that my patients, most of whom reside in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin and surrounding areas, often have concerns about having plastic surgery: "Am I being too vain or too selfish, and what about the potential for complications?" My office staff and I are here to address the emotional as well as the physical needs of our plastic surgery patients. We are also very sensitive to the need for privacy and discretion in matters regarding cosmetic surgery.
I do feel an obligation to maintain my skills and update them by attending plastic surgery meetings and symposia. We will always try to apply the latest technology that is both proven effective and safe. Sandi, my nurse, is a certified plastic surgery nurse, meaning that she has chosen to achieve a higher standard of proficiency in her profession. I am proud of the fact that I have been named by my peers as one of the top plastic surgeons in Milwaukee in the surveys by Milwaukee Magazine, as well as one of the top plastic surgeons in the country by another survey.
